Beverlene E. White

August 6, 1942 — March 25, 2026

Beverlene Richards White, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on March 25, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 6, 1942, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Herbert and Eugenia Richards, whose values of strength, faith, and compassion shaped her life’s path.

Beverlene married the love of her life, Lawrence in 1969. In 1978, they began a new chapter in the United States, settling in West Haverstraw, New York. Together, they built a life grounded in partnership, perseverance, and love throughout 55 years of marriage.

Beverlene dedicated more than 30 years to a career in medicine as a Registered Nurse. She was known for her hard work, her gentle spirit, and the deep compassion she brought to every patient she cared for. Her commitment to service touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Outside of her work, Beverlene found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She loved to read, and she enjoyed long walks that brought her peace and reflection. She also loved baseball and was a proud, die‑hard New York Yankees fan—cheering passionately for her team through every season. This was a love she shared dearly with her grandson Ryan.

Above all, Beverlene’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into her children and grandchildren, celebrating their milestones, nurturing their dreams, and surrounding them with unconditional love.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her daughters Patrice, Natalie, and Laura; and her sons Kevin, Kirk, Robert and Shelton.  She leaves behind her grandchildren Nicholas, Antonia, Ryan, and Zora, as well as her great‑grandchildren Jiana and Thaddeus. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Richards, and her nephew, Christopher, along with numerous other nieces and nephews who adored her and were deeply impacted by her kindness, wisdom, and steady presence.

Beverlene will be remembered for her grace, her warmth, her resilience, and the quiet strength that defined her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and in the many lives she touched with her compassion and care.
