Maureen Villani

July 9, 1941 — March 31, 2026

Maureen Villani, born July 9, 1941, entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2026, surrounded by love and now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Maureen was the devoted and beloved wife of Richard Villani, her partner in life and in faith. Married for almost 65 years, their enduring bond was built on love, devotion, and lifelong companionship. He will miss her dearly, holding close the many years and memories they shared together.

Maureen was the daughter of the late Annette and Francis McGill. She was one of ten siblings and the last surviving member of her generation. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved siblings: Arthur, Eileen, Robert, Marion, her twin Kathleen, Jimmy Jo, Dorothy, Grace, and Patricia.

Raised in the Bronx, Maureen grew up surrounded by the strength and closeness of a large family. She later made her home in Stony Point, where she lived a life guided by kindness, compassion, and quiet faith.

Maureen dedicated 44 years of her professional life as an underwriter with Metropolitan, where she was known for her diligence, integrity, and strong work ethic. Her commitment to her career was matched only by the love she showed to those around her.

Maureen was a warm and loving soul whose presence brought comfort to those around her. She gave of herself freely, always offering love, patience, and understanding. Her life was a reflection of God’s grace, and she touched many hearts through her gentle spirit.

She shared a special friendship and neighborly bond with Paula and Larry De Paolis and their children, who lovingly recognized Maureen and Richard as an aunt and uncle, a relationship that reflected the deep affection and family-like connection they shared.

She will be deeply missed by her cherished nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternal life, trusting that Maureen is now reunited with her loved ones and resting in His everlasting peace.
